Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It is an age-old sense of decorum that at last seems to inspire the fae man to remember his sense of duty in this regard, stepping aside to allow Sebastian within the confines of his home. The sheer surprise of seeing his companion however is surely evident within every line of his features, Dorian having, at last, accepted what he had been assured was the inevitable in that the vampire had surely moved on as Dorian had always anticipated he would. It was no great secret between them how Sebastian lived, how he achieved his meals- Dorian himself, at least in the beginning, had been subject to this very experience and yet still the notion that the other man might find another that he preferred was somehow still distinctly displeasing to the Fae. It was utterly foolish in its design, a thought that should hardly exist and indeed one Dorian struggled to keep so firmly withdrawn within himself and yet still the notion bothered him if he allowed himself to think on it too long. It is perhaps fortunate in the least that Sebastian's unexpected presence here and now so seems to distract his mind from any of the more despondent thoughts that had plagued him of late. The entirety of his being now focused wholly on his companion as he turned to face him, struggling still to quell the wholly unreasonable desire he felt to merely throw his arms around him in a manner he is sure is unacceptable. There was, after all, still a chance the vampire was merely here to simply inform him he was leaving for good, Dorian determined to at least maintain some sense of dignity if this was truly the case- though nervousness had already begun to flutter about within him. Ah, but how undone this man seemed to bring him and without even a word!

He is unable to prevent the words that tumble from his own lips, hardly ashamed to admit in some fashion or another that he had indeed been counting the days since he had last seen the man he adored so entirely. His words faltered, if only slightly, Dorian offering what he had been assured was the reason for his companions sudden disappearance before Sebastian's own words seemed to rush forward. It is Dorian's turn to frown slightly now, wondering indeed where it was Sebastian had gone if it had not been his intention to simply leave- his gaze shifting away from the man at last in order to utter that soft admittance into the silence that followed. It was perhaps three of the truest words he had ever offered the man, his silver gaze returning now to the vampire, the Fae steadfast in his determination to see how such words may well be received though indeed some part of him almost feared a rejection of them of sorts. He was, after all, admitting that he cared, that Sebastian's absence had been more than simply noted by him. He had missed his companion in every sense of the word and yet when the vampire had a veritable sea of others with which to fill his bed Dorian is almost assured his own absence may not matter in near the same way.

The words he is offered however, are perhaps just what it is he had needed to hear in that moment. The Fae's form seeming to relax entirely, whatever nervous tension it had held seeming to fade as a simper he cannot prevent moves to so swiftly adorn his features. There is every chance that Sebastian merely affords him the words he knows Dorian so surely wants to hear and yet whether perhaps foolhardy of him or not, the Fae King chooses to believe them. There is a distinct sense of honesty to the vampire's words and for tonight at least, this is all Dorian truly needs to press those worries of his mind so firmly back. Sebastian moves to close the distance between them and indeed Dorian welcomes such a thing but all-too eagerly. The kiss with which he is afforded is decidedly chaste, Dorian's hands moving rest upon Sebastian's waist all the same if only to guide him slightly closer, before softly returning the gesture. Subtle and fleeting though such a kiss is, it serves only to remind the King of how much he had enjoyed and missed the taste of companion and indeed just how long it had been, sixteen days no less, since he had enjoyed any more intimate activity. Such thoughts however are wholly fleeting, the vampire stepping back if only enough to meet the fairy's gaze.

The words he is offered this time however are unexpected, the very notion of them seeing something tighten within his chest in the faintest hope the man might truly mean them. Yet surely Sebastian did not truly know what he promised! Ah, but if only he knew that Dorian may perhaps desire to have him for...years even. Would he still make such a promise then? Yet, even despite such a thing, Dorian finds himself incapable of stopping the smile that touches his features all the same, head nodding softly. Allowing those words to alleviate whatever fears he had held but moments ago.

"Good."

It is all he utters for now, the Fae King pressing forward slightly to afford his companion a final, fleeting kiss once more before stepping back. The faintest touch of inquisitiveness finds it's way to his features now at this reminder of the promises made before Dorian moves to follow the vampires gaze and towards the scattered papers across the dining table.

"Oh, they are merely an attempt by my roommate to occupy me. She tells me she likes my drawings and desires to have some and yet I am assured she lies to me, she merely desires to keep me busy. Still- she means well so I do them all the same. I should like to go out tonight though, allow me a moment to get ready."

It had, in this moment, only just occurred to the man that he did not even have shoes on much less the state of his dress was hardly acceptable to go out. He moves easily towards the stairs now, striding effortlessly up and towards his own room. It takes barely moment to strip his shirt from himself, reaching for another, easily buttoning it before searching for a pair of shoes and too- taking a moment arrange his hair into something far more presentable. It is only now that he becomes aware of the large smear of charcoal down one side of his face- Sebastian surely not having missed that, Dorian berating himself inwardly for allowing his companion to see him in such a state as this before working to remove it. This task complete- no more then a few minutes having passed- Dorian moves to stride back downstairs once more, the Fae significantly more well-presented now as he comes to stand beside Sebastian once more.

"Shall we?"

He waits for Sebastian to lead the way, closing the door behind them before falling into step beside his companion once more. The world, once more, just as it should be.

"I find I must ask Bastien, where was it you went while you were away? If you find it agreeable to tell me, if it is of a personal nature you need not."
