South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
The young witch was entirely at home within the tavern she had chosen for the evening, fitting in with relative ease. She had spent enough time within those walls that she was, at least as far as faces went, was familiar to the patrons. That wasn't to say that she was nearly friendly with any of them, or the bartenders. Quite on the contrary, Serafina oft said her 'how do you do's and settled in the far corner of the bar with her drink placed in front of her entirely alone and silent. It was her little sanctuary, her place to unwind from whatever thoughts plagued her. Today was surely no different. Today she needed the drink her bartender poured for her. With a soft sigh, Serafina moved to stand beside her companion at the bar, her stormy gaze steadfast upon the man, recognizing him with ease. "The usual." She stated simply, knowing all too well he'd know exactly what that meant. The girl's gaze hardly tarried as she watched the bartender turn, his hands deftly pouring the ordered beverages. She watched the way the liquid crashed into the cup, sloshing as he turned to placed the glasses in front of them.

Delicately, Serafina picked up her glass of Vodka by the rim, following her Dark Hunter companion towards a booth in the corner were the two were certain to remain unbothered. She knew all too well that their relationship was still dancing upon the edge of a balancing blade, it was still too soon for the female to relax - too soon for her to say she would walk away from this unscathed. Unlike her companion, however, Serafina made every effort to seem entirely at ease, sliding within her booth and nestling against the worn leather behind her. She brought the drink to her lips, her stormy eyes briefly watching her companion do the same and yet, her glass hit the table much sooner. Serafina hardly felt comfortable enough yet to loose her senses, instead sipping on her drink rather then gulping it as if it was her life force. Her fingertips gently circled the rim of the glass, glancing up only at the sound of her friend's voice.

A small shrug crossed the girl's shoulders, knowing all too well exactly what she was referring to. Like many of the street "rats" as they were so called, she had practically just disappeared overnight. "I was picked up." She stated simply, as if that explained everything. Kidnapped was more the word but she hadn't been one to complain terribly. It was a roof over her head and warm food in her belly. She'd thought he'd get bored as they so often did with her bristly sardonic behavior. It was easiest to leave that way...only...he didn't. "This guy...he decided to keep me. He was a warlock and taught me so I could earn my keep or whatever." She rolled her eyes in a fashion that was so typically her. "I mean...I thought about going back...but it was winter and it was cold and stuff, ya know? It just...it was nice to have a home." There was a residual sour taste to the girl's mouth. It was so rare that she ever spoke of what her childhood consisted of but if anyone deserved answers - it was Tamzin.
