West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I know that he's probably been really busy with hunting and all that so I don't fault Alexander at all for not spending time with me. He probably has so much experience with hunting the creatures of the night that the Council's probably beating down the door for his assistance. I can't blame him for putting his job first. I just know that he didn't want things left the way they were when I left town. He must have wanted some kind of closure to pull me upstairs and ask me straight up how I felt about him, about us. Now I just don't know what any of that means and it's slowly driving me crazy.

I've never been in a relationship of any kind before unless you can count my messed up friendship with Raven and I screwed that one up already and am currently trying to make amends so apparently I suck at this whole relationship thing. I just don't want to lose Alexander. Even if he changes his mind about us and doesn't want to be anything more than friends or even boss and employee, I'll take what I can get at this point. I just want to know where I stand with him.

I wonder briefly if he would know anything about what happened with Aiden and how it went down. Do hunters look into stuff like that or is it just a Were problem? Will there be justice for Aiden or will Frost continue to live unchecked? My hand tightens around my bow at the thought of such. He has already hurt so many, to know that there's a death at his hands now, a big death, it just screams for someone to give him a taste of his own medicine. I almost wish I could be the one to do it.

Maybe if I wasn't so caught up in the man cowering before me, I would have noticed the sound of running hooves and feet above me on the rooftops. I would have looked up and seen Alexander jumping practically over my head in chase of a large hooved beast and maybe I could have even helped him in his chase. My mind so so fuzzy these nights though, all mixed up in thoughts of him and where to go from here, and wondering what to do with the human who's suddenly not so confident in his dirty deed anymore. I should probably just intimidate him and send him on his way but what if he figures out what I did with the bow and tells someone about me. What if hunters come sniffing at the cafe? Alexander would probably be pissed if drama started at the workplace because of me.

My arm starts to loosen on the arrow, already figuring out how best to send this guy packing without risking more trouble later when I hear the audible sound of a thud, something dropping to the ground one alley over from where I stand. My head spins in surprise, already trying to locate the sound but the man takes the opportunity to run, a grunt of panic leaving his lips as he takes off down the alley. I turn my head back, teeth clicking together in anger at myself for getting distracted as I watch his back disappear. I contemplate letting the arrow fly anyway but my heart's not in it, not for a slimy human anyway.

Sighing, I slowly lower the bow and it disappears from my hands in a wisp of smoke right as I hear a familiar chuckle behind me. I turn around with a gasp of surprise, eyes widening at the man standing there as if materialized from my thoughts themselves. Where did he come from and how come I can't look at him without hearing my own heart pounding like a hammer in my chest? I feel the breathlessness i always feel around him, the sudden clamminess of my hands and the butterflies doing somersaults in my stomach. I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear self consciously as I offer a small smile.

His comment lends me more confidence though, suddenly proud of the way I handled the situation. My head tilts, lips quirking into a smirk and my eyes twinkle with happiness. "Not this time, but you're welcome to be my knight in shining armor on any other given occasion." OMG, did that really just come out of my mouth? I've never been so forward with him before. Maybe I'll get used to this whole confidence thing, after all.

I nudge my head toward the next alley. "Did you have something to do with that noise? Do I really want to know?" I raise one brow, taking a daring step toward him. "Are you supposed to be working right now? Am I distracting you?" I look up at him, the corners of my lip twitching with humor.
