East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

In truth, Alexander hadn't been quite sure what to expect when he had voiced his pleasantries to the demure were-creature. She had certainly struck him as a shy thing within those short few hours he had spent with her. She had seemed to treasure her space and yet, somewhere deep within her sparkling eyes had been a sense of inquisitiveness that had by far been the most endearing quality he had seen in perhaps a very long time. It wasn't often that Alexander took interest in others anymore, much less go out of his way to ensure the comfort of one of his own patrons and yet...he had done those very things for her. It was funny how things worked out sometimes. Never the less, his blue-green gaze remained steadfast upon the young woman as she pivoted slowly upon the concrete side walk. He watched in silence as she tucked the long lock of ebony hair behind her ear, her crystalline blue gaze looked up at him in brief disbelief. A weak simper crossed his features, if only to mirror the fragile one that crossed her feminine features. The Macedonian King heard his name upon her lips, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly in the process. Alexander hadn't realized that she had noticed his absence. The mortal kind seemed to do everything in a hurried fashion so when she didn't return to the cafe within weeks of that fateful evening, he had suspected that she wouldn't return at all.

Alexander didn't think anything of her forward steps, at least, not at first. The Dark Hunter was caught entirely off guard by the way the female threw her arms around his neck, her skin brushing against his as her face found it's way into his chest. He stood there, surprised, his blue-green gaze dipping down to the crown of dark locks nestled against him. It had been a very long time since the conqueror had been touched in such a fashion, since he'd even been hugged and oh how even immortals can crave something as simple as touch. Gradually, his arms reach out to embrace her slender figure, to encompass her within that aura of security that she so craved from him. He stood there in silence until she offered him the softest of whispers, one that caused a small smile to brush across his masculine features at the irony of it. He had been alive thousands of years - one weekend was surely not going to cause the world to see the last of him. "I'm sorry I made you worry." Alexander replied softly, "I'm not leaving here yet. Not soon." He added in some effort to reassure her.
