Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you can't wake up, this is not a dream

What Edie hadn't expected given her drugged, amped out state, was the way that she would so blissfully slip into that dreamy state the instant that Kato finished having his way with her. It had been perfect to feel his touch on her skin, the girl so easily allowing that pleasure that only he seemed fit to bring her. It had only been a few days without him, and yet her bones ached to be near him. It was what love was supposed to be like, wasn't it? That ever consuming feeling that she'd never once felt with Beck, but seemed to consume her when she thought of Kato. She'd barely laid her head down on his chest and closed her eyes when the sleep had taken her, and while Edie was typically the type to squirm around in bed, she didn't move in the slightest, even as her boyfriend wiggled out from underneath her. She was aware of him speaking her name, though she didn't open her eyes. "Mmm," She murmured in response to his prodding, turning her head back into the pillows that smelled so like him the instant that he left her.

She had begun to wake when he came back in, though she had only taken to fiddling on her phone instead of actually getting out of bed when he came back in. She smirked at the vision of her boyfriend in nothing but that towel. "You should have brought me with you to shower," She teased, moving to catch those lips that planted on her temple in a real kiss before she let him meander back to the suitcase. For a moment, Edie merely stared at him with furrowed brows, not understanding why he was packing before it all rushed back to her all at once. Oh god, oh god she had agreed to go to England with him. It felt suddenly as though someone had grabbed ahold of her heart and squeezed it so entirely. Still, the girl didn't let him see that side of her, instead she pushed herself out of bed and went over to kneel beside him at the suitcase. "Sweaters, babe," She said softly, putting her hand on top of his. "We'll have to buy you warmer clothes. You'll freeze in England, as used to the heat as you are."

She shook her head at the mention of telling Frost, the girl shaking her head. "He's not here," She said simply, that feeling in her pack bond so entirely real to tell her that no, he wasn't near. "I'll text him, though. I'm going to shower, you work on this." She gave him another quick kiss before she pulled herself to her feet, going into the bathroom. It was only once the water was running and she was certain he wouldn't hear did she let out the pathetic start of a sob, covering her hand so that she wouldn't make noise. No, she had agreed to go to England. This was a terrible idea and one that plagued her with all sorts of anxiety and yet she couldn't find the words to deny going with him. She would go, she would be miserable, but hopefully being with him would make it okay. Hopefully she'd be able to leave again once Beck got his hands on her.

She was quiet as she returned to the room, dressing herself in a soft sweater and jeans before she moved to sit herself on the bed with her laptop. "There's a flight that will take us into Leeds... I live not too far from there... it leaves in about three hours. If we leave now, we can make it." She said, her voice demure as she grabbed her wallet, moving to make the purchase of the tickets without fully looking over at her boyfriend. Should she make hers round trip? Would she be coming back? She couldn't help the thought that they wouldn't let her leave. She was property, after all. She belonged to Beck, or so they'd always told her. She doubted they would just let her leave again. Once she had the flight booked, she so easily got to her feet and went to finish packing with Kato, her eyes stealing glances at the beautiful boy when she thought he wasn't looking. How it would break her to give him up.

Edie remained quiet in the taxi to the airport, clearly lost in thought as she snuggled up against Kato in the backseat. She held tight to his arm as they went through security, only letting go in the last moment to go through herself before she was right back at his side. She would hold to him as tight as she could for as long as she could. How it would hurt her to see him leave her in Yorkshire to come back without her. But Beck would never let her go again, and Edie wasn't sure she was strong enough this time to fight back. She would miss Kato so much. She would miss Frost, and Claire and hell, she would even miss Nadya. She was still quiet even as they boarded the plane, leading him to the first class seats she booked without thinking, only speaking to ask the flight attendant to please, bring her coffee.

In fact, the plane had taken off and she had drank half her coffee before she spoke again, looking over at Kato with sad eyes. "I... I feel like you should know that..." There was so much that he should know, and Edie wasn't sure where to begin. "I feel like you should know that they're not going to be happy to see me. This... this will not be as pleasant as your homecoming." She looked away from him then, her emerald gaze focused entirely on the cup of coffee she held in her hands. "I ran away from them. They... He owned me, and I ran away. And He isn't going to be happy with me."
