Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Abigail liked apples. They were like...her thing. She liked grapes too. She liked rolling them around in her mouth and then pretending to be some giant monster and SQUISHING them between her teeth. But this. This platter before her was so multi-colored and it smelled so sickeningly sweet and the girl seemed to be enjoying them all well enough that even Abby couldn't stop herself from reaching out to take a small star shaped cookie. She turned it around her paws, so examine it before biting into it with an all too curious fashion. Ohhh my gawdd sweeettttt. It was like that funnel candy thing she had at home only...not. It was like...it was like....it was like DELICIOUS. How did she get more of these?! Is this what she was missing out on when it came to these modern 'grocery stores'? If they had this then she would go check out her first one tomorrow!! These were worth all the people and the newness and that overload of everything. A squeak left the girl's lips before she shoved the cookie in her mouth, entirely content to eat ALL of it, even if she half way choked in the process. Her small hazel eyes shifted to the child in front of her, her head bobbing at this mention of 'cupcakes'. What's a cupcake? Was what she ate a cupcake? Could she have more cupcakes? But what were those other things on the platter? They seemed pretty too. Were they sweet? Could she - woah! Hey now!!

She was lifted in the air before she even got a chance to shove her nose into the icing of one such cuppy cake, another squealing sound so leaving her lips as she momentarily flailed, clearly wanting to get back to that platter of treats. She was being teased so much! First by the apple and then by the goodies! Couldn't she just fully eat one thing?! Just one! She wasn't asking for much was she?! She didn't think so! Still, Abigail gave up a moment later with a soft huff from her nose, her attention instead turning in those moments towards the lavish mansion that surrounded them as the child made a beeline for...well, somewhere. Room. She had said her room right? And some...nesting bits or something like that? Abigail hadn't really been listening, she was so caught up on that loss of food. Still, she got her answer quickly enough, as the young woman stepped into what even that little panda could tell was the child's room. It was amazzinnngg. So lacy and pretty and pink and OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT IN THE CORNER?! IS THAT A HUMAN?! WHY WASN'T SHE MOVING?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?!?!

A yelp left her lips as she skittered backwards in that chair she had been placed in, accidentally sending not only herself but that chair toppling backwards in her efforts to go...well...somewhere! Anywhere! She'd never seen a dead human before and she was pretty damn sure that thing was dead. How did she die? Was Abigail going to die?! SHE DIDN'T WANT TO DIE. SHE JUST WANTED AN APPLE. HOW DID AN APPLE LEAD TO HER DEMISE. Oh gawd. What was she going to do. This was crazy, absolutely crazy, and yet, in the face her utter mortality and, what she assumed was going to end up being her death, Abigail's thoughts shifted to one singular feeling. How she wished Arlo was here to save her. How did that singular man, in the two time she'd seen him, come to be her savior?! Frankly, she didn't know but she hadn't the slightest change to figure that out before the young girl was back and the body gone as if nothing had happened at all. Abigail's small eyes shifted from that spot where she'd swore she'd seen the body before turning towards the girl and back to the wall all over again. Her form remained entirely low to the ground in a preemptive panic maneuver and yet, really, it wasn't as if there was anywhere for her to go.

Tentatively, Abigail moved forward as the child placed the cookies on that table. That sweetness was perhaps the only thing that lured the small panda towards that tea setting and yet, she hardly expected for those cookies to just be a trap. Before she knew it, there was something attempting to strangle her. This was how she was going to go out?! A gag left her lips as the thing was pulled around her throat and fastened to her fur and yet, that pulling stopped quite abruptly, leaving Abigail...alive? Yayyy, lifeeee! Celebrate! Wait, what? All hers? No one else's?! But Arlo! Lady? Lady wasn't her name! But...she supposed it wasn't really that bad of one. She wanted to be thought of as a pretty lady. That couldn't be all that terrible right? Right? Silver lining! Come on, she was trying here! The red panda sat upon the table, her lips parting to echo a single bark. Maybe if she played this panda pet role she could get out of here alive and not apart of the 'things she wasn't supposed to do' list. That seemed like a worthwhile goal. It was worth a shot, right?
