Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

There was, Dorian was sure, terribly little for Sebastian to be sorry off in so keeping that secret from him. A secret he wholly suspected Matteo had asked him to keep- and one that Dorian had well come to suspect all the same- if only for the manner in which Sebastian so deviated from his normal behaviours in encouraging Dorian to go out any time Matteo was around when the vampire was so normally content to spend their evenings in. It was a secret too, that Sebastian was entirely correct in so suggesting was Matteo's own to give. The Monarch hardly finding himself displeased, especially after all he had learned tonight and so desired to share with his lover given the opportunity later in the evening and once his Father had taken his leave. One hand reached idly upward, smoothing but a little off that ruffled hair from his lovers features as that simper pressed upon his lips, his head merely shaking softly at those words.

"There is no need to fret off it any longer love, I understand."

And he did. Very much so. He held an innumerate amount of questions still, questions he was assured Matteo alone could answer and indeed, as time passed, the Fae was assured he might surely find only further queries in some effort to fill in the details of several centuries off life lived beneath a guise of friendship with the man whom had fathered him and indeed held so very much knowledge not only on his Mother- but on the world and life that had once been. Yet, in all this, Sebastian was hardly to blame in any sense for doing as he did. It was Matteo whom so need to offer him those words and in the aftermath of just that admittance- one that had gone well in turn- Dorian remained assured his lover hardly need stress over it when all had turned out so well. That kiss pressed so sweetly to his lips was far too short for his liking and yet it was with something of a dramatic sigh that the Fae slide from his lovers lap to allow him to stand and dress- Dorian assured they need hurry before Elizabeth fell further victim to the Fae's charm and yet even that wholly pressing urge was not enough to draw his gaze from his companions bare form. Dorian entirely content to appreciate each line and curve presented to him of that gloriously fit figure. Truly he was almost loath to return to his guest, Father or otherwise, when that which he desired was so readily before him and yet- those further thoughts prompted his consideration still. Sebastian's name softly uttered then as Dorian inquired after those red threads he lover commanded so effortlessly. It was a peculiar question perhaps, one they hardly had the time to consider and yet it was important to him, in some fashion, to know just what Sebastian saw when his affinity was cast upon Matteo own soul mate, or perhaps even lack thereof. Dorian entirely curious as to whether or not a being so aged might simply run out of souls to be connected to else, perhaps, he have long since met and lost that singular perfect soul so destined for him. The Fae's mind so readily given to that curiosity before his head bobbed softly at Sebastian's promise to inspect such a thing on his behalf, that word of thanks uttered quietly as his fingers so nestled within Sebastian own to lead that way down stairs.

He could hardly deny that sense of pleasure that so touched his own features at the very delight Sebastian himself seemed to take at the sight of that veritable tea party. Dorian assured both Charles and Elizabeth had truly outdone themselves for such an event. Sebastian's mere presence seeming to remind Elizabeth off her duties, Dorian almost relieved to see her leave Matteo's side to attend to Sebastian's wanting teacup before hurrying back into the kitchen. Those idle pleasantries exchanged between his lover and Father were hardly unobserved and yet his attention remained upon the vampire as the man so effortlessly seemed to find chocolate amongst a veritable pile of sweets. Dorian hardly surprised in any sense and yet still his boyfriend's capability in this was astounding. His silver gaze continued to linger upon that treat, the Fae so eyeing that melted chocolate within before inquiring as to just what it was. His attention shifted briefly back to the Frenchman then, Matteo seeming assured it was 'Nutella' as Dorian merely continued to eye it with curiosity, his head shaking softly at that query as to whether he had ever tried it before. The manner in which Sebastian so seemed to glance between himself and that delectable treat hardly missed before the vampire handed it towards him, Dorian reaching to take it as one eye lifted in a clear amusement.

"You must love me a very great deal tonight to share your chocolate."

That impish grin so danced upon his features then, his words entirely teasing, the effort to which it took his lover to forgo chocolate hardly lost upon him as Dorian slipped that last bite between his lips. Such a curious taste! The Monarch having failed to anticipate it entirely. This 'Nutella' not quite the same as that chocolate he had become used to, the Fae so considering it for several moments before nodding at last. Matteo chuckling softly from across the table as he did.

"It was not what I expected but I do not dislike it. Do we keep this in the house?"

That there might yet be more of it had not at all gone unnoticed by the Fae King, his attention returned to Matteo then as he so praised both Charles and Elizabeth on their efforts before speaking off that evening they had shared with Alexander. Ah, but he had thought the man had forgotten! How unfortunate he had not. Dorian saved from so further having to explain his dealings with that Hunter by the sudden appearance of Charles and that soft murmur that he was required within the kitchen. That veritable delight so spread across his features once more, Dorian excusing himself from that table then with an promise off his return in a few moments, leaving both his Consort and Father alone to slip into that kitchen. Matteo remained wholly oblivious to the vampire's attempts to read those threads nor find some excuse, later, to rest a hand upon his own, the Fae finishing the last of his own dessert before that glimpse of red that flickered within his gaze so gave away his efforts to peer into that oncoming future, the Frenchman already aware of just what his son desired to bring them. Sebastian's offering of distinctly greater quality then his own. Matteo uttering just that in those accented lyrics, that momentary pleasure upon the vampires features hardly unnoticed and yet the ancient Fae made no effort to dispel it. Surely he, of any, so understood just what love could do. His gaze drifting briefly to that kitchen before returning to Sebastian. That man his son had so chosen to love and he could not bring himself to dislike. Dorian held good taste and yet praise nor outward affection were truly his forte, his finger tracing the rim of that tea-cup as he so regarded what may yet be his son-in-law, that word of thanks at last given. Matteo not at all unaware of that strain he had placed upon the Englishman in this. Sebastian's voice finding a note of hardness that sought to draw even his attention. The Fae allowing the man to free himself off all he might desire to say on that before offering his own words. Matteo so unsurprised, truly, at Sebastian's words. The Frenchman so momentarily caught off guard by that curious affliction of emotion to hear it.

No, I will not ask something like that off you again. I know, Sebastian. I know you will do what is best for him. It is why I like you, I suppose. Dorian is positively the most valuable thing in all my life, I have no other children. Yet it is because of the very man you are that I know you will keep him safe. Love has a way of doing that. How easy it was to return those words to him then, Matteo allowing the briefest of simpers to touch his lips once more, the man so rarely admitting to anything of an emotional sense and yet there it was all the same. How difficult it was to so entrust that thing he treasured most in this world to the man before him and yet- it was for that very love he knew existed between the pair that he so trusted Sebastian entirely to do right by his son. I have every desire to have a pleasant relationship with you, it is important to Dorian and as I said, I find you agreeable. Tell me though, you're a sports man aren't you? Do you follow football?

It was, perhaps, Dorian's return in that moment that might so save his lover from that sports conversation. The Monarch rather proudly carrying that singular plate within his hands as he returned to the table. The Fae moved first to that Frenchman, plucking a singular biscuit from that plate to place on his own before returning to his lover then. Dorian placing that plate down before the vampire to allow him to view that exquisitely decorated biscuit. It was shaped very near like a dandelion, the biscuit golden brown and buttery, one side appearing just as the underside of that flower, the other side decorated with rich chocolate icing to appear as petals. Dorian grinning all the same despite that slight look of apprehension that so touched his features as he waited for Sebastian to try it.

"It is silly I know, but I have never baked anything in all my life and I simply thought I might try just once and I quite enjoyed it. I made it entirely on my own though Charles did operate the baking devices."

He was not yet so prepared to take on the oven alone, nor to admit he had gone to the effort of finding a recipe and following it just in case Sebastian should dislike it. Cooking, perhaps, would never be one of his talents and yet he had so desired to try but once to make something for his consort and Father in turn. That he had managed only two biscuits in an entire afternoon (Matteo's obviously burnt and rather misshapen compared to Sebastian's) so indicating that he had perhaps struggled far more then he displayed. The Frenchman's words drawing his gaze then. Might I ask as to what it is?

"It is an Italian dessert, fried dandelion and chocolate. It is the head of a dandelion fried in butter and then battered and baked and then it has chocolate on the front with a little salt. I am told salt makes chocolate taste more like chocolate."

Whether or not it was true he hardly knew, Dorian finding himself almost nervous in that moment. Was it truly so terrible that he had desired to try just once to make something for Sebastian? Or even Matteo? His silver gaze returning to his boyfriend then.

"Do you like it? You need not eat it if it is truly terrible...."
