Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellington

Crowned Consort of Italy

Sebastian had stared for near hours upon hours at those rings that lined the shelves of jewelers to find that perfect ring that might match Dorian's like. There were far too many that were somehow simply too gaudy for the man or, on the opposite side of the spectrum, just far too simple. Titanium seemed to be the latest fad now, one he was quick to turn down and yet, even so, to find one ring that might so modified for a magical thread with no beginning and no end had taken longer still. There was within him a certain matter of pride over that gift, one in which was perhaps silly to have and yet it existed within him all the same as he pointed out the continued existence of that bright red thread - meant entirely for Dorian alone to view. His own dark blue eyes briefly met that hue of silver, that simper still settled upon his features as the King's lips pressed gingerly against his cheek before declaring his own adoration for that ring that had come to mean so vastly much. Sebastian hardly hesitated to inform the Monarch of that small peculiarity of that ring and that red thread. That glimpse of surprise upon Dorian's features prompted his own head to nod ever so slightly in agreement.

"Whenever you desire, love. It will always be there for you." He commented simply in confirmation. It certainly took a measure of his affinity to keep just that portion of the ribbon alone viewable to all eyes and yet, it had been worth the effort to provide the King with the sight of this. He watched in silence as Dorian seemed to consider that ring and it's appropriateness to wear. After all, those cultural norms for their relationship were decidedly non existent. He watched as his lover came so effortlessly to his own conclusion of wearing that ring, only to pause with some sort of sudden realization and announcement that this was the vampire's own job. Sebastian could hardly help that chuckle that echoed on his own lip as he took that ring from his lover's grasp once again before his attention fell to that offered hand.

It was a simple action - the removal of that first ring to be replaced by the second and yet, it somehow held far more weight to the Englishman then he anticipated it might. What should have been a simple ring was too a physical declaration of his near unending affection for his now fiance, and, in turn, Dorian's adoration for him too. It was a far more primal thing and yet, Sebastian was a vastly primal being when it struck him to be. He held some sort of deep seeded possessiveness over the Italian man, one that certainly was capable of boarding upon obsessive when it was pulled from him. It wasn't often such an emotion was coaxed from him and yet, that distinct part of the Englishman was satisfied in claiming Dorian as his and too entirely devoting himself to the man. It wasn't as if he had not been already, after all, ever since that fateful evening in which he had dedicated himself to Italian King, his interest in any other had somehow hit an all time low. And yet, despite this, this prospect of becoming Dorian's fiance and then husband simply was so entirely pleasing. His gaze settled upon the King as Dorian's features seemed to brighten at the presence of that ring upon his finger, that ebony hued one was placed upon Dorian's opposite hand, that sensation of their heartbeats once again started to vibrate but moments later. How discombobulating that lack of sensation had been and yet, for this, it had certainly been worth it.

His arms once again embraced his lover's figure as Dorian leaned against him, the Englishman content to admire that ring all the same. It looked near perfect against the Monarch's pale skin. That assurance that Dorian would see to one of his own prompted a near shrug of dismissal from the vampire. Though he was certainly not against the wearing of that secondary ring in the slightest, he simply failed to be concerned of its creation in the slightest. This, tonight, was all that mattered to him. Everything else simply seemed to fall to the wayside, including fretting over his own wedding ring and any sort of array of things that would now have to be attended to thanks to that simple proposal. His gaze shifted briefly from that ring towards the fae King himself as Dorian inquired over just whom had known of his intentions to ask the man for his hand tonight. That list was decidedly small, kept to their inner circle of family and friends. After all, he hadn't even told Arlo the truth of what he intended to do with that song and the younger vampire had helped him write it! It was surely Giles that Sebastian owed the greatest of his appreciation to, the man's near insistence to assist when he had fretted over those minute details and that continued encouragement the elder manservant had offered had been far more valuable than even Sebastian could admit to the King.

Dorian's insistence to thank the man was met with a soft chuckle, his head bobbing ever so slightly in response. "I think he would appreciate that. Lord knows I should too." He had already begun to muse upon what sort of gift he might be capable of bestowing upon the man in a show of appreciation for all he had done, as unnecessary as he was sure it was. That inquiry of Emma, however, prompted the man to shake his head. Though he would have liked to have informed the woman of his intentions, and in turn to have scheduled the rest of the month's activities, she was a woman distinctly inclined to become easily bewildered by the affairs of the King and the need to manage the man's sometimes busy schedule, particularly with the President's newest attack upon Dorian's claim to the throne through the man's sexuality. He had considered before how that marriage might affect Dorian's standing as a King, that fear one that had weighed heavily upon him and yet, tonight was hardly the place for such concerns. Tonight was one worth celebration, the vampire quite near commenting upon such as he made mention of that brightly lit house and those within whom were surely awaiting their return and Dorian's answer.

His own eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the sudden wrinkling of Dorian's features at that mention of their family, friends, and staff. That inquiry of the Frenchman and Dorian's assurance that he'd seen him before at the winery prompted a hint of consideration upon Sebastian's features. It was entirely possible that Matteo had been there earlier in the day, the man easily willing to admit that he had invited both Dorian's father and Godfather for the event. Afterall, regardless of his own feelings for the Frenchman, he was still Dorian's father and certainly should be there for the celebration of his son's proposal, though whether or not the man intended to show tonight still remained to be seen. He hardly anticipated those words of thanks the King had offered him at their invitation, however, the vampire reaching out to gingerly caress the King's jawline. "Of course, Ma Biche. He is your father, no matter how much Matteo is prone to talk in riddles." His head shook ever so slightly at that inquiry of the King's Godfather, even though he knew well of exactly who Alexander was, he'd hardly made the point to seek the man out. There was something almost daunting of attempting to corner not only a Dark Hunter but too Alexander the Great. Dorian's family was certain....intimidating to say the least. "No, I have not but...maybe I shall tonight, hm?" He inquired, the man making every effort to be optimistic of that little family unit he would soon be marrying into.

It seemed that very thought, however, prompted a consideration of sort within his fiance, that one of their marriage and what all of it would surely include. He could hardly help the way his own nose seemed to wrinkle and that sheer consideration of that task before them. Royal weddings were certainly nothing to be scoffed at. The sheer number of individuals that would attend - their family, their friends, their staff, business partners, dignitaries and ambassadors across the world. It was all wholly overwhelming to even choose a place to start for an event that was as large as something quite like this. It was that which prompted that suggestion that perhaps they might look into hiring someone to manage such an affair. Was there an agency specifically for managing royal weddings or would they simply have to find someone with knowledge of weddings in general and hope they were capable of pulling off an affair nearly as grand as this one? A soft sigh fell from his lips as he considered that research they might have to do. Dorian's insistence that perhaps it was best they hired someone caused his own head to nod in ready agreement. After all, modern weddings were hardly even the same as what he was used to, much less royal ones. "You should see the last royal wedding that took place...it's going to take at least a year to plan this." He commented in a near exasperated fashion.

Sebastian had known, to some degree, all that would surely come hand in hand with marrying into royalty. He remembered vaguely all those concerns he had fretting over upon Arlo's couch, things such as his own last name, for example, were only the tip of the iceberg of all that was to come. Even so, Sebastian found himself leaning forward to press his lips against the King's forehead, the man inclined to display some level of optimism that Arlo had once attempted to instill within him. Somehow, they would manage this. Somehow. It was the King's sudden words that drew his attention, that plan that fell from Dorian's lips prompted a warm chuckle from his own. "Ah, my King, you've figured out my dastardly plan." He commented, entirely content to tease his lover for arriving to that same conclusion that Sebastian had been near hinting at from the very beginning. It was hardly for Dorian's business that he had seen fit to suggest that return trip to Italy rather than for the announcement of that news to the staff and the media, if Dorian so desired it. That following trip was surely meant for their simple enjoyment before the pair were thrust into that world of wedding planning, managing the media, and too the political affairs that might arise from such an announcement of their intention to tie the knot. Their world was surely only about to become all the more hectic and yet, he was certain even that too was worth the opportunity to remain at the King's side forever as his husband.

He allowed that peaceful silence between them to last for but a moment longer before the man gestured towards the house, "Shall we go inform them of your answer or would you like to leave them in suspense a bit longer?" That apprehension, he was certain, was hardly as intense as his own had been. After all, he knew well Matteo had surely seen the future and Dorian's acceptance. That celebration would likely be more...restrained and yet, he had every intention of allowing Dorian to share the good news with them all the same.
