Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry had wanted this to be a special night. He knew that Sterling had been trying so very hard to lure some intimacy from him. Unfortunately, the scars that riddled his body was a huge turn off. It wasn't so much the physical scars that Henry hated â€" it was what they meant. He had nearly killed the one person who had loved him through everything. Just knowing that he had almost taken his life was enough to make him unsettled. It seemed that his body picked up on that and he was simply unable to give the man the intimacy he had once desired.

But tonight was different. Henry had been working on a new power, one that he thought might benefit his lover. He had been practicing, wanting his power to be perfection before he tried it out on his boyfriend. Tonight seemed like the perfect night. They would have a nice dinner, watch a movie together, and then they would end the night hopefully in bed together. Knowing that he was capable of arousal (despite the circumstances of this knowledge) made him all the more willing to try things out on his boyfriend. He wanted to love the man...to show him appreciation for being there when he was at his lowest.

He had thought the gentle kisses, the movie, and the dinner might be arousing to Sterling â€" just knowing that his boyfriend had done all of this for him. And yet, there was hesitancy in his voice as he called out his name. Henry paused for a moment as he listened to the rest of his boyfriend's question. Slowly, he pulled away.

Was everything okay? Definitely not. He had no idea how to approach the topic of his infidelity, but he also wasn't sure he wanted to. He didn't want to ruin this moment that seemed so perfect until his boyfriend caught wind of something that unsettled him. "Yeah...everything's fine." While he tried to speak with confidence, he knew his words were lacking. "Why wouldn't it be?" Okay...that was not what he meant to say. "I just want us to do something special tonight...after...everything." Henry recognized that Sterling had been yearning for more and yet, he hadn't felt like he was able. But now that Sterling had been introduced to his animal side, he felt more stable â€" far more than ever before. It was strange how the simple meeting had calmed his animal...almost as if the animal was finally starting some sort of acceptance.
