Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She was so hesitant, so unlike the bubbly Yumi that he used to know. He felt himself hating that coven all over again for what they put all of them through, changing them all so drastically. She peeked at him from around the door but just seeing that look on her face tore him all over again. He lost his strength, falling to his knees as it all came pouring out. She looked surprsed, then she stepped back, starting to stutter some words before she shook her head and blamed herself, saying she left her there. Now it was Damon's turn to shake his head. "No, it wasn't your responsibility to keep her safe. That lays on me. Your only responsibility was to your own survival. I couldn't have survived losing both of you." He watched as she rubbed her arm, as if making sure it was real. He bit his lip, slowly pushing himself to his feet.

As she kept going, saying if she hadn't left they might not have done things to Isolt, he shook his head more vigorously, reaching out for her arm, trying to stop her. "No, it's not your fault, Yumi. You did what you had to do to survive. Because of you, I knew where to find her. Because you escaped. If you had stayed, neither of you might have made it out and I would have gone on searching without answers. You were the reason she was found and rescued. Your actions were what saved Isolt." He wanted her to know that. She didn't need to know about the rogue warlock trying to spring Isolt loose at the same time. He might not have even made it to the exit. He seemed pretty daft in Damon's opinion. She said she was sorry and he smiled softly, trying to meet her gaze. "You have nothing to be sorry for, Yumi."

Then she pushed her door open more and asked if he'd like to come inside. After a moment of searching her gaze, making sure she was okay for the company, he finally nodded. "I'd like that." His voice was soft, almost a whisper. He still felt like he was stepping on glass around her but it was a start anyway. He stepped around her, making sure to give her space cause he didn't know what touching her too much right now might do to her mentally. She seemed so fragile. He wished he knew how to help her. Looking around, he glanced back at her. "Has Malek been around?" He made it sound casual while inside, he was angry that he found her alone. He gave Malek ONE job. Sighing, he met her gaze again. "When's the last time you fed, Yumi?" He raised a brow, wanting her to know that he meant the way she feeds this time, on aura's. When was the last time she'd allowed herself to be around people to get some nourishment?
