Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

we built this city on broken glass

How very palpable that young womens excitement was when only moments go her mind had been filled with little but fear he was about to ask her to leave their pack. Relief, he suspected, only further contributed to her delight in that moment. Yet, even he had failed to anticipate the very joy she seemed to take in that proposition, let alone the notion that a desk was somehow an attractive incentive to the woman. Had he known of the importance she placed upon furniture he might surely have offered her a desk as encouragement to clean more often. Still, he supposed, that she took so much joy from that proposal was positive in the least. Even if he struggled to understand just how quickly and readily that emotion seemed to seize her. Frost unable to remember the last time he had felt that....delighted over....anything. How puzzling it was that she seemed to be able to feel to that extent. The woman embracing those emotions with a readiness and abandon he found himself almost envious off. Perhaps that was yet another reason to have her as his beta. She was honest in those things she felt and would be unlikely to keep them from him. There was sense in having a second whom might see the world differently to himself, whom might offer a different judgement or see things from another angle. She had already proven, several times over, to have sound judgement in the least. Frost holding little fear in that regard.

His efforts to assure the woman of just exactly what he was asking her readily seemed to prompt that squeal of delight. Malia very near bouncing in her chair as Frosts own violet gaze eyed her near quizzically. Excitement, it seemed, was a curiosity to the stallion in turn. Frost finding himself rather intrigued by her actions in that moment even if little of that emotion played out upon his features. Her request for a desk off her own prompted the stallion to gesture toward that spare desk in his study with the insistence she was welcome to take that one if she desired. Although what work she intended to do he found he hardly knew. The idea of meetings, he suspected, far more appealing to her then any actual work and yet he saw little need to ruin her ideals. If she desired a desk to sit at- then so be it. One eye lifted ever so slightly once more as Malia all but skipped from her current chair and over into that new one, the young woman spinning around in it to cross one leg over the other and face him with a look of seriousness. That very gestures prompting that tug of amusement to his features before she queried what he intended to do if he was invited to those meetings and he was away.

"Let me know your meeting schedule in advance and I will do my best to be here."

Provided she hardly called a meeting each week, Frost so little need not to allow her those very liberties if they seemed to thrill her so much. The stallion very near curious as to just what sort of meeting Malia would deem necessary all the same. His gaze found her own once more then, Frost seeking that official acceptance of that very position all the same. Malia affording him that truly affirmative yes as his head offered that simple nod of acceptance. Good. Time would tell whether or not he had made a reasonable decision and yet, this time, he was near assured his choice had been better than the last. Malia, he suspected, not inclined to disappoint him. Frost leaned easily back within his own chair then, his query on whether or not the woman drunk prompting that look of surprise. Malia commenting then on the poor taste of beer and her preference for those 'fruity' drinks.

"Girly drinks then?"

Those accented lyrics readily held that tease. Frost chuckling softly before reaching down to open one of the draws at his own desk and produce that notorious black bottle with its infamous skull and crossbones motif. That Brennivin Icelands own signature drink and one...precious few could ever handle. At least, if they had not grown up drinking it. Still, this was a celebration was it not? One shot of it was hardly going to kill Malia. Two of those shot glasses were easily procured then, Frost opening the lid on that bottle before pouring out two of those drinks, the first slid towards Malia then.

"Where I come from this is the drink we have when we celebrate anything. Today we are celebrating your promotion. We usually drink it with Hakarl, that is, fermented shark meat but I fear I do not keep shark in my desk. It is best if you take the shot all at once. This is stronger than anything this country has to offer and likely anything you've ever had before. Ready?"
