South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. It was clear to the young fox that her animal form being from Africa held little weight to the man at her side, and the longer they were under the blistering sun, the less weight it held to Edie herself. In all truth, she wasn't sure what she had expected from her trip to Africa, but it certainly wasn't the heat and miles and miles of walking that seemed to be the highlight of their journey at the moment. The looks of the locals that eyed her pale form were enough to cause Edie's skin to crawl, though it was clear that Kato didn't notice and she was not willing to point it out to them, at least not yet. All she did was step a little closer to him, her grasp tightening on his hand as though to tell them that no, she was protected. And she was, wasn't she? She was confident that Kato would not allow anything to happen to her, whether it be harm from another or death by heat stroke.

It felt like they had been walking for days when Kato finally slowed and allowed Edie to come to a halt, the dehydrated form of the fox happily accepting the water. She drank it quickly, hardly caring about how fast their water supply might be used up â€" after all, she had no reason to believe that water was not readily available to her. She'd been expecting a few hours more of walking, perhaps, so it was clear that the news that it would be a day, possibly two, was devastating to the young Were. "You know, I should have read the dotted lines when you asked me to come with you. I didn't realize I would be trekking across all of Africa, Kato." It was an overly dramatic statement, she was well aware, but she was hot and crabby, and tired of travelling.

The rest stop she was offered was hardly long enough, too soon was he pushing her forward. She stopped after only a moment, reaching down and tugging the fabric of her shirt up and over her head, leaving her in only her bra and pair of shorts and that damned hat. It was hardly proper to be out in such an outfit, but the girl hardly cared, and it wasn't as though she was particularly modest in the first place. She reached out, moving to put the shirt in the bag that Kato held before she nodded to him again. "Ready!" She chirped, taking his hand again and beginning the journey again. It was considerably more comfortable to have less things touching her skin, even if it did expose her pale English skin to the elements. The sunburn would be better than heat stroke, right?

She was pleased to hear his voice, telling all about the family she was about to meet. It was soothing, really, to put names to the people she had imagined. She couldn't deny she was nervous about meeting them, scared they would give her the same looks as the natives here. Scared that they would think she wasn't good enough for Kato, or that Kato would change his mind and send her packing back to Sacrosanct horribly alone. It was enough to cause knots to develop in her stomach, causing the girl to shiver slightly at the idea. "Your father and I would have had a lot in common," Edie joked slightly, giving his hand a squeeze as she listened. Still, she enjoyed the people he spoke of, smiling brightest when he spoke of his youngest sister. "I think I'll get along with her best," She commented playfully, fully intending to get to know the girl that would be closest to her in age.

In her own home pack, it was run by the same family for generations. The Alpha â€" Beck's father â€" had been close with her own family, so much that they all knew that Beck was intended to marry Edie. It was supposed to be an honor for the girl, but one that had just weighed her down. Still, it was a pack dynamic nonetheless. Frost's pack was different, run more like the way a pack should be run. She'd earned her place by her usefulness, and she enjoyed that the most. Kato's was entirely different, it seemed, and it was enough to cause another wave of nervousness within the girl. She was sure they would have no interest in how her own ranking of Beta lifted her social status.

It all happened so fast that Edie was entirely unaware of what had happened until Kato pulled abruptly forward and away from her, surging toward the woman that needed help. She stood frozen as she watched, unsure of how to help or even what she would do if they would want her to. There was no way she was strong enough to hoist one of those jugs onto her head, of that she was positive. It was only when the woman spoke to Kato did Edie react at all, a frown crossing her features at the way she looked at him. She knew that look, and the look on his own features even more so. It was his cocky, just been complimented expression, and that someone else had made him look like that caused a surge of jealousy to ripple through her.

She didn't answer him as he stepped back towards her, instead shifting on her feet as she thought of what she would do. She was sure that several more hours of this would wear her down, but her animal form was certainly much more durable. It was a sudden movement then, a quick shift before the girl went from girl to fennec fox, leaving behind a small pile of clothes and a sunhat. She darted around his feet then, clearly having more energy in her Were form. After allowing him a moment to collect her clothes, she paused her running around him, looking up at him expectantly. At least in her Were form, she wouldn't be forced to admit how jealous the women had made her, right?
