Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Monarch remained largely oblivious to but any hint of anxiety or nervousness that existed within his lover for those events of the evening, Sebastian having acted obscure since the moment they had left that lavish mansion they called home. Dorian so having simply decided the vampire was behaving altogether oddly and that it was surely largely to do with some worry of work else whatever surprise it was his lover had so clearly planned and so wretchedly refused to tell him off no matter how many times he asked! That query of feigned innocence that left his boyfriends lips so had a fashion of drawing that gentle roll of his own eyes. Dorian wholly taken with both that mystery Sebastian had managed to craft and too the veritable excitement that would surely come with finding out just what it was. The Monarch assured he could barely wait any longer while Sebastian seemed wholly content to draw out those minutes, confirming only that they were indeed to go out as Dorian crossed that room to allow his arms to encircle his lovers waist in that affectionate and yet teasing embrace. His lips pressed softly to his lovers neck, patterning that soft flesh with gentle affection and too- so allowing each touch to further his own magic as it worked to encompass Sebastian's fit figure. It had become easier and easier to wield that power of life. Dorian wholly capable of commanding that power for hours now with near as much effortlessness as he wielded his paintbrush. He could feel that shift in even the temperature of his lover's skin as he shifted to the other side to afford that ever-sensitive neck that same affection, Sebastian so readily flushed with that warmth that came with life and too- that simple....light that so often caused but even Dorian's own breath to catch within his throat at how simply exquisite Sebastian was. His consort was already beautiful and yet how becoming that life was upon him too.

He shifted easily to the front of his lover then, Dorian content to steal but one final kiss from the man's lips before declaring him ready and wholly alive. That curiosity for the outside tugging readily within him then as Sebastian so agreed that he was indeed ready to go out, the idle comment so falling from the Fae's lips in regards to the staff he had queried so resulting in that momentarily sheepish look at that simple admittance. Sebastian's chuckle returning that warm simper to his own lips as the vampire readily admitted he had surely anticipated Dorian might do just that! Ah, but how well prepared his lover had been! Dorian momentarily finding but some hint of amusement in the idea that his curiosity was perhaps an entirely predictable thing and yet- had Sebastian not known him for well over a year now? Had they not lived together for months? Perhaps it should not be near so surprising that his Consort might anticipate such things.

"Well, they did very well in being near as obscure as you, Mon Cher."

He assured the man but a moment later as his hand tugged softly upon Sebastian's own. Dorian content to lead them out into the hallway and down towards that front door with a ready eagerness to discover that surprise he had waited so long to see. It was that gentle tug right before those front doors that saw the Fae King pause, his silver gaze turned back near questioningly to his lover then as Sebastian released his hand only to stand behind him. The vampire's hands resting upon his shoulders then as he guided him forward to those doors themselves, his head resting upon his shoulder in a fashion that saw his own grin alight his features at that simple mischievousness. Sebastian inquiring that final time as to whether or not he was indeed ready to see what was surely causing such a terribly great fuss and so attracting those people outside. His boyfriends hand resting almost teasingly upon that door handle. His own playful words offered readily then.

"Darling, I shall positively burst if I must wait any longer."

Those words had no sooner left him then Sebastian so proceeded to announce that twentieth annual Royal Flower Show, the very idea so barely having registered within his mind before those doors were pushed gently askew and that sunlight so streamed into that darkened entrance way. Dorian forced to blink momentarily against that brightness before the simple glory of that colour seemed to meet his gaze. How fortunate it was that Sebastian had taken up such a position behind him, Dorian near stepping into him with that simple shock, that soft gasp so leaving his lips as the Monarch stared in a manner near wide-eyed at the beauty that spread out before him in all directions. There was so much to see, so much to do, Dorian near overwhelmed by it all! It was several moments still before the man found himself capable of words, the Fae King stepping forward at last as Sebastian came to his side, those crowds of people all but ignored. Dorian so simply having become used to the way they pointed at himself and Sebastian or took photographs of the pair. The man far more enraptured with those flowers themselves as Sebastian so suggested he thought he might like this. That near beaming grin so suddenly spreading across his features as he turned to face his lover once more.

"I do not merely like it, Bastian. I.....I.....simply adore it. I cannot even find the words I want. It is exquisite! I do not know what I desire to see first, I cannot decide, it is all too beautiful, I- yes, please."

That offer to explore so seemed to have a way of grounding the man, the simple shock of it all so seeing the normally eloquent Fae stumble upon his mere words as he reached for that offered hand. There was so much life within those gardens. Those people and children were utterly rich with it, let alone the flowers and plants themselves and the birds and insects they drew. He could feel it around him from near every direction. That sensation almost intoxicating, life, after all, was an entirely addictive thing in its own right. Dorian's own affinity eagerly embracing it if only to allow him to feel it. Those shops, for now, were largely ignored by the Monarch. The man far too eager to lose himself within those gardens as they followed that path that led into the first of those displays. Those flowers bloomed in near every direction around them, the sound of running water drawing his gaze to several fountains and installed fish ponds decorated with the most glorious white lilies, a nearby hedge so trimmed to appear as an elephant drinking from one such pond. He could hardly help the fashion in which his free hand reached out towards that hedge, the man hurriedly hesitating upon that realisation that he was perhaps not permitted to touch those displays. A volunteer so situated at the side assuring him he could, that anything not behind a rope could readily be explored. Dorian's hand reaching to feel those leaves then.

"How do all of these flowers get here? Will they stay here forever now?"

The idea that so much could be transported in had surely never occurred to him. The man simply incapable of comprehending such things as his shifted to peer into that pool, those brightly coloured goldfish seeing that grin widen readily. How lovely! His fingers reaching out then to gently touch those water lilies that rested atop. A part of the man simply unable to resist those flowers. It was, perhaps, decidedly Fae-like of him, Dorian so often working to restrain that distinct display of his species and yet here and now he could hardly resist that simple joy he found in that plant life. No Fae, surely, could resist flowers in perhaps the same fashion Sebastian himself could not ignore chocolate when presented to him. He shifted easily from that pond then, his fingers still entwined in Sebastian's own to move down that pebbled path and toward a display of flowers so planted in shades of orange and yellow and red before those larger, tall flowers bloomed a delightful rich purple and blue above, a soft sound of delight echoing from him then as he glanced towards Sebastian.

"Bluebells! I adore these."

His excitement in this was surely palpable, those gorgeous blue and purple flowers of England seeing that impossible grin widen all the more. The idea that he might so experience several countries worth of flowers only just now becoming apparent to him. His fingers reached for those too, feeling those petals, the flower itself near seeming to brighten beneath his very touch as it so responded to the life that ran so potently within Dorian himself.

"Bastian, look!"

His gaze glanced suddenly upward then, his attention so held by the giant wooden sculpture of those deer so crafted to appear as if they remained within a battle of sorts, their horns locked together as they pranced. Dorian gently tugging Sebastian toward it now, the unfortunate vampire perhaps likely to be dragged about that show all morning as the Fae King paused before it with his lover beside him. His gaze lifted to Sebastian's on once more before he lent forward just so as to place that chaste and yet wholly affectionate kiss upon his cheek.

"Thank you for this, Mon Cher."
