Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

There was nothing but guilt that seemed to pour onto the brunette girl. There was guilt that she'd gone to Vegas - even though Frost hadn't given her much of a choice in that matter - and left him here. There was guilt that she'd had a good time in Vegas. Guilt that she'd come back and gone right out into a club and into the waiting arms of someone else. That she'd received the attention that he'd meant to give her from a vampire. She hadn't been thinking when she'd let him drink from her, and she certainly had been too weak from her inebriation and blood loss to deny that she wanted whatever strength his blood might give her. She felt overwhelmingly guilty, because in that moment, she hadn't thought about Kato's feelings on the matter at all. And her actions had caused this flare of anger within the normally gentle man. This was all Edie's fault.

She didn't look up at him as his strained voice asked her why she'd gone out tonight, the girl finding that she hardly had an answer for him. It seemed useless to comment that she'd merely been bored. Instinctively, the girl flinched as he brought up the near death experience she'd had in Africa, moving to push her hair out of her face. "I don't... know..." She struggled, her eyes trained on the floor instead of up at the man she so loved. "I c-came home and you weren't here, and I thought that maybe you wouldn't be here tonight, and I didn't want to be a... alone..." The tears that spilt down her cheeks dripped onto the sheets, but the girl made no effort to stop them. "I'm sorry Kato, I... I didn't mean..."

She shifted, wrapping her arms around herself as he pulled further away from her. She drew her knees to her chest and rested her forehead against them. "It's not... the first time... I've let a vampire..." She choked out, fully aware that she might have been driving him right out the door. Perhaps it would be better for him without her. All she was doing was causing him pain. "Before we met, I h... hooked up with a vampire and he..." She swallowed hard. "I knew it wouldn't k-kill me." Her attempt to explain was futile, of course, the girl seemingly only to make him decide to sleep away from her tonight.

"No, no," She pushed herself up from the bed, coming to stand right in front of him. "No, I don't want..." She shook her head, her fingers landing upon his chest. That sinking feeling in her stomach, one she'd felt so many times before as Beck told her she was worthless and that he was leaving, seemed to have grown enormously in the realization that Kato might leave her. "I'm so sorry, Kato... I... please don't leave." Her voice was pleading, the very tone of it akin to a wounded animal as she fought to give him some reason to stay. "I ruined everything, I'm so sorry..." Almost as though she was scared of what she might see there, she lifted her gaze up to his for the first time. "Don't leave me. I love you... Please come back to bed with me..."
