Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

He was not truly sure what he expected of the Englishmen and yet that dumfounded look so underpinned with inquisitiveness was perhaps not too far from what he had envisioned. Most of them tended to look at him that way eventually. They didn't understand. They never did. Yet right now Arlo hardly cared for explanations of his own feeding habits. With his first attempt thwarted the vampire found himself hungry and irritable, his attempts to look casual sadly lost by the tense edge to his frame and the predatory look that lingered still within those ardent blue eyes. His arms remained folded across his chest with that pouting look. Those spiking emotions, the result of that lack of blood, assured a plethora of feelings over the issue seemed to dance about within him until frustration gnawed at him with the same fury as hunger. Arlo struggling to keep his words pleasant and remove the impatience from within them. His personality, after all, was hardly inclined to be this and yet that current state of starvation seemed to render the normally pleasant man an agitated shadow of his usual self. A mood made all the worse by the sheer proximity of a vampire whom smelled so glorious he could barely remember his own name in the presence of it. Sebastian was so...so close! Yet so out of reach. God it was maddening.

It was his own predatory nature in that moment that seemed to see Arlo shift tactics, as it were. The younger man attempting a far less violent approach this time. Arlo doing just as he said and asking for that blood. It was worth a shot, after all, this man seemed to prefer talking over squabbling in the street and to a certain extent- Arlo was rather assured he did too. After all, Sebastian had surely only just eaten. He was older, stronger, undoubtedly more experienced and with a meal so freshly heating his veins his reflexes were undoubtedly faster. It was a battle Arlo was fated to lose without the element of surprise, some measure of sense lingering within those notes of all-consuming hunger and preventing any foolish second assault. He could hear the desperation in his own voice and yet he was quite sure his pride had flown out the metaphorical window the moment he'd chewed the man's hand like dog with a bone. The force of his efforts and the bruising it had left not unnoticed. God that was embarrassing and yet....he couldn't bring himself to care enough now. Arlo attempting to offer some sort of deal in the least that might earn him even a drop of that blood that had him near salivating now. Did Sebastian have any idea what it was like to find someone whose blood called to him? Arlo so unaware that he was watching Sebastian so intently that his gaze had simply begun to follow the mans every subtle movement. Arlo even offering to be gentle. After all, he'd mauled the man's hand not ten minutes ago, the younger vampire hardly wanting his skills to be judged based on that momentarily feral slip. He was sure he could bite far more....nicely if needed. Sebastian's words seeing his gaze flicker to the other man's own once more.

"Love?"

Well that was...unusual. Arlo's gaze narrowing slightly in wariness now. The man oblivious to the idea it might well merely be a habit for the other vampire as opposed to any true term of endearment. His experience with Malek so having resulted in a newfound awareness of those male vampires that seemed to enjoy...other men. Arlo having no desire to find himself in the grips of another crisis over his own sexual orientation. God damn Malek and his power. Yet still he hardly found himself turning away from the man before him. For blood this good he supposed Sebastian could call him anything he pleased. The idea he hardly had to be gentle resulted in a truly strange flicker of emotion. There was something almost....intriguing about those words, though hardly in any sexual sense. Something that appealed directly to that predatory part of him. He was always so rushed in his feeding, so hurried and in turn so worried about injuring his victims that he hardly enjoyed the process in any real sense. The possibility that he might, for once, savour that taste seeming to dance before him now. That he might actual enjoy feeding seemed an almost impossible ideal and yet....if Sebastian wasn't trying to fight him off, if he didn't have to worry about the man's friends showing up or that he might unleash some affinity upon him then maybe- for once- he didn't need to drink so fast he was nearly choking. How sweet that would be. Arlo's thoughts were drawn back to Sebastian as the vampire spoke again in those accented tones, his considerations brushed aside at the query as to how controlled his feeding was. His shoulders shrugging lightly. Was the vampire truly going to let him feed off him?

"A solid seven out of ten in the least. I usually stop. Almost all of the time."

He'd never tasted blood that smelled this good. He didn't know if he would stop, not truly, Arlo apparently maintaining at least some sense of honesty in this despite his own desperation. That sound of curiosity from Sebastian drawing his attention once more, his gaze narrowing slightly again, that tense stance that had only just begun to lessen seizing him once more in anticipation of some sort of attack as his lips pulled slightly back from his fangs in warning. That hand that gripped his neck was hardly as aggressive as it was firm, Arlo stilling all the same, confusion marking his features now. God that scent! He was so....close. Arlo contemplating grabbing him all over again before Sebastian lent forward to allow that single fang to prink his skin- jolting him from that beginning blood lust- brushing his tongue over the blood that welled to the surface.

"Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?"

Sebastian lent away almost within the same moment, Arlo reaching automatically for that tiny wound that had already near healed over, rubbing his neck softly though he had hardly felt anything at all. Sebastian seeming to contemplate his own blood before offering a non-descript sound that left Arlo staring at him. What did 'hmm' mean? Was 'hmm' good or was 'hmm' bad? His efforts to contemplate it further were forgotten at the wave of Sebastian's hand in that silent request to follow him down into that alleyway. God he hoped this was just for blood. His hands tucked into the pockets of his hooded jacket, his wet shoes falling into step behind Sebastian's own, his own senses alight within that space just in case this was some....coven ploy to attack him. Arlo contemplating that the watch on the elder vampire's wrist looked like it was worth more than his entire house. How was he doing so damn well? The younger vampire shadowed the elder for the length of that alleyway with that hunger clawing at him with every step, impatience teasing at him and yet upsetting the other man was hardly going to be beneficial to him now.

"If you're really going to let me bite you then you....might want to find something to sit on. My bite.....does things."

Why the hell was he even telling him? Wouldn't it have been better to just let him find out on his own? Then again, it might have just pissed him off royally. This fellow had been decent so far, Arlo, despite his hunger, attempting to offer some decency in return even despite that predatory part of him bemoaning his honesty now- after all, what if Sebastian changed his mind?

"Don't worry, you'll like it. At least, I've been told it feels good. My venom is like a sedative, it makes you feel really calm and really, really fucking relaxed- like you never had a worry in the world. It takes a few minutes to wear off once I stop though and you want really be able to do much until it does. I'll sit with you though- I mean, I won't just take off."

His gaze lingered on the other man still, curious as to whether this bothered him enough to change his mind as they pressed further into that alleyway, even the traffic seemed distant now. Sebastian his only point of focus in that otherwise bland space, Arlo near forced to clench his jaw to prevent any attempts to lunge at him again.

"Are we nearly there? I mean, not trying to rush you or anything but, dude, I'm starving. Please....."
