South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South
She's a natural in disaster
The silence after and before
We're the ones she's chasing after
She's coming back for more

It was strange, the things she was feeling and thinking as she stood before Serafina the gun pressed lightly against the woman's forehead. She never imagined the path would lead her here, especially since they hadn't seen each other since they were teenagers. There was so much history between them, and emotion that Tamzin would never admit to anyone. It made her decision extremely difficult, and she started to wonder if she was going to be able to follow through. Her life would be on the line if for any reason she wasn't able to finish a job, and lucky for her each job had been handled. At least, they were up until this very moment, and she continued to battle herself.

Her grip tightened on the gun even more and she pushed it a little harder against Serafina's head. Her finger was still flexed over the trigger, so all she had to do was squeeze it. It was that simple, one little miniscule muscle movement and all problems would be solved. She knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself though, not if she killed someone she swore to protect as long as she lived. True, they had grown apart for years, but Tamzin was true to her word no matter the time or distance. Especially when it was someone who had as much of an impact on her as Sera did.

The younger woman was there when Tamzin's father started to disappear more and more into the bottle. It had been a never-ending battle when she was younger, ever since her mother died when she was four. Her father didn't take it well; even now he still couldn't completely deal with the loss. It was because of him that Tamzin learned how to shut off emotions and not feel anything for anyone. Well, almost anyone, Sera had been the one exception. Tamzin cared about her father of course, but even then he barely paid attention to her. That's why she spent most of her childhood spent in the streets with Sera and the other kids. It's true, she wasn't an orphan, but sometimes she wished she was.

For a moment she wondered how her father was, what he would think of her now. She didn't even know if he was alive, or at least what he considered living all those years ago. When she was eighteen she went out into the world, her father didn't even say goodbye or try to stop her. He was still so deep into his grief and the bottle that the only thing he had time for was staring at an old picture of the once perfect family they had. He didn't know how to let things go, not like Tamzin did, and that was his undoing. That was the past though, and Tamzin needed to focus on the present.

Their eyes locked once again, and Tamzin could feel that twinge of emotion trying to surface. It took everything she had to force it down and keep her eyes as empty as she could. She didn't need Sera to get into her mind, but it was already too late. A sigh passed her lips and she slowly lowered the gun before quickly turning on her heel and letting a few bullets loose into a tree. At least she pulled the trigger, but the downside was that she didn't pull it on the person she was supposed to. Icy eyes closed and her arm rest at her side, her fingers still gripping the gun as if her life depended on it.

"I can't do it. Why did it have to be you, Kitten?"

The blonde turned back to face the blast from her past, the look on her face a mix of unreadable as well as confusion. She knew that this was bad for her and for the buisness she did, but she just couldn't bring herself to off Sera. The gun was placed back into it's holster, and her eyes locked with Sera's once again.

"Now what?"
