South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

her eyes hold the apocalypse

South
She's a natural in disaster
The silence after and before
We're the ones she's chasing after
She's coming back for more

Tamzin never imagined that she'd be here in this place, holding a knife to someone's throat. Someone who once meant the world to her, someone she promised to protect for as long as she could. Of all people why did Sera have to be the one she was hired to kill? There were so many other creatures out there, and she highly doubted that the woman beneath her was one of the dangerous ones. This is what the world, or fate, or whatever it was that decided how people's lives would play out wanted. And all she could do was stare down into those still familiar eyes, the cold blade of the knife still pressed against that pale neck.

A deep breath was drawn in then released slowly as she lifted the blade from the woman's neck. She couldn't believe she was doing this; she wasn't following through with a mark. She couldn't, not with all the history she had with her. Why oh why did it have to be Sera? Of all people in the world, she was the only one who would be able to keep her from darkness. In a way though it was too late, Tamzin was a Dark Hunter now, she had been one for six years. As her cheek was caressed she quickly jerked back, she wasn't used to that kind of touch, and rose from her previous position of straddling Serafina's hips, the knife still clutched tightly in her hand.

"They saved me. How did you become this?"

Even now she started to doubt that Serafina's file was correct, she couldn't imagine the woman before her slipping into that sort of thing. Then again, the image she had of Serafina was something from years ago, and that person didn't exist anymore. This thought caused her fingers to flex on the knife, tempted to use it once again, but she knew it wasn't possible. A knife was too personal, so instead she slowly put it back in its sheath. Then in almost a blur, her hand shot to her gun and that was quickly pulled from the holster and aimed directly on the center of Sera's forehead. Icy blue eyes narrowed as she flexed her finger over the trigger, but this proved no easy task either. Tamzin knew what that meant; she couldn't look into the eyes of her victim for once.

"Stand up, turn around slowly, and face that tree."

There was a war going on in her head, and she battled with emotions that she thought had disappeared long ago. There was no such luck, and for someone like Tamzin who spent years making herself numb to everyone and everything, it was terrifying. She wished she was anywhere but here right now, but she knew that something had to be done about this. A couple small steps forward were taken as she kept her stance strong, one foot slightly in front of the other so she was able to move quickly if need be. She had to do her job, if she didn't there was no telling what would happen to her, and these days she only cared about herself.

At least that's what she kept trying to tell herself, but the world had a funny way of fucking things up.
